Ohio Radio Communications Association

Ohio Radio Communications Association, or ORCA, is a pilot program to join area repeater clubs together for social activities, information sharing, public service events, and emergency preparidness. ORCA has no individual membership, dues, or officers. Founded in January of 2006 ORCA already has assisted with several events.

ORCA has assisted local clubs by providing additional amateurs to assist with events such as parades, 5K runs, and special event stations. Each year in June we gather at The Outpost on state route 190 just north of Fort Jennings to participate in the June VHF Fieldday.

As of November 10, 2007 the Delphos and Lima clubs combined their 10 meter nets into one. This net operates under the orginization of ORCA on 28.430 MHz every Friday at 8:30 PM local time. The net control script can be found HERE.

ORCA has a yahoo group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nw-orca/) that we use to post requests for information and help.
